Todorova, 20, a model from Vratsa, Bulgaria, was one of the candidates of the recently concluded Miss Universe pageant held on 20 December 2015 at the The AXIS, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
She was a beauty queen who won hearts among Filipinos for a simple but classy show of support for Miss Philippines when the pageant's host, Steve Harvey, corrected himself and announced Wurtzbach as the winner, the Philippines' bet doubted to go on and claim the crown from Miss Colombia.
GMA News Online reported that as Wurtzbach was standing on the stage looking shocked at the news that she had actually won, Miss Bulgaria Radostina Todorova could be seen cheering enthusiastically in the background.
"When Wurtzbach turns to where Todorova is standing, still seemingly unsure what to do, Todorova sweeps her arms forward and is seen to mouth "Go!" with a big smile on her face. Wurtzbach sees the gesture and it spurs her to continue walking forward to accept the crown she had won," it added.
One of the Filipino netizens noticed the kind gesture and commented, "Even if we already know what to do, we always look for that one friend who will push us to do it. We all need a #MissBulgaria in our lives," said Facebook user Ron Cruz, who posted screengrabs of the moment.
