The Department of Education (DepEd) is happy to announce the launch of official DepEd email account or address for employees on Google powered official email accounts and other education applications.
DepEd teachers, staff, and administrators can now forward emails with attachments using their firstname.lastname@example.org accounts to others through a computer or any kind of computing device, and a reliable internet connection.
DepEd says "the communications medium and the applications included in this service hopes to facilitate a collaborative culture among our teachers and employees with the digital infrastructure to do so."
"This service also hopes to ensure an environment where information can be communicated safely and easily."
DepEd states that the deped.gov.ph email account was made "in order to strengthen the sense of identity among Department of Education employees, acting in their capacity as employees, educators, and representatives of the agency."
The official DepEd email account DepEd employees took effect on September 21, 2012. If you're a DepEd employee you will now be able to create DepEd email account by visiting depedverify.appspot.com/verify. At the page, you need to fill in the form with your Tax Identification Number (TIN); First Name, Middle Name, and Last Name (Suffix, optional); and Date of Birth.
