could not help but agree! University of Southeastern Philippines is not even being ranked in QS. Any source for this? oh wait, why bother, i don't even think this is true. :-)

  6. Im proud that I am an alumni of USEP. I was also shocked that we jumped to #5 in the Rankings. Maybe our accomplishments coincide with their criteria. Well, different institutions have different rankings. We should respect the result of their rankings, because this will reflect on their credibility. USEP is the only institution in the Philippines that offers MS Econometrics ( a specialization in Economics).

  11. Hahahaha.. I am proud to be a CMUans and raised at the "Academic Paradise of the South".. We are one of the cheapest state university in the entire Philippines with just 90php/units.. Even though we are lack of support from the government for better facilities, but we are providing quality standard of education that can compete nationwide.. CMU is known for being the "Academic Paradise of the poor but deserving students"... Keep it up.. KUDOS CMUans...

  21. maging proud kau kung kau dahilan ng pag angat ng sarili nyong skul hindi yung kau yung inaangat ng skul nyo...! being student of top university is one to be proud of but you as a student have the responsibility to improve yourself or to have an achievement na maipagmamalaki at magdadala sa skul nyo..hindi yung proud lang kau dahil isa kau sa studyante ng skul nyo...

  22. Congratulations to University of Southeastern Philippines- the number one school in the Visayas and Mindanao and ranks 5th in the entire Philippines! Oh my goodness, from top 20 school based on ched and prc studies, now it soars at the top five spot. wow, galing talaga! go go

    ReplyDelete
  31. USEP over Silliman, Xavier, and San Carlos? Hmmmm.... parang hindi yata tama. At walang Ateneo de Davao ha??? I think the rankings are screwed. USEP should be dropped and Ateneo de Davao placed in any part of this ranking (kahit nasa last); basta wala lang ang USEP kasi nakakalito. All the rest are okay.

    ReplyDelete
Based on facilities pa lang wala na ang Adamson and CMU compared to SLU. Add to that the performance in Board Exams, talbog! I think this should be the ranking from the 5th spot to the 10th spot:

    Silliman University (5th)
    Saint Louis (6th)
    Xavier (7th)
    San Carlos (8th)
    PUP (9th)
    Mapua (10th). T

    There! Screw QS Rankings!

Adamson should be in the 15th place.

  33. What do you mean by Mindanao State University? Is it the main campus or the Iligan Branch? Because it's confusing. Some would say it's the Iligan extension, and some say the Main school itself. Which is which?

    ReplyDelete
  34. i was also shocked by this news... USEP??? jumped to top5?? even though I am one of USEP Alumni, i find it difficult to believe.. and yeah I even tried to search the name of my school in this site: http://www.topuniversities.com/university-rankings/asian-university-rankings/2011..
    I am still doubtful...
But if QS will rank our school as one of the top 5 schools with the most merciless and unpredictable professors who will lead the student to endless suffering and despair, shatter the students' dreams and break their innocence, before the students can get 3.0 to pass. then I will agree... nyahaha

  47. MINAMAHAL KONG KAPWA PINOY NA MAY DEGREE NA, it's not about the school's rank but how we are able to play our true rank in the real world imbibing the spirit of our ALMA MATER... If u quarrel over it, u are pulling down the virtue of your school and fouling your degree.

This is what I've learned from UST! Its worth is more than rank!

    MARLOWE B.

  48. I believe that is not a credible ranking of Philippine schools. The one who made the survey is not from our country therefore he is not fully aware of the strengths and weaknesses of Philippine schools. Silliman University, Ateneo de Davao, Saint Louis University and University of San Carlos should be ranked higher than DLSU and USEP. The basis of the ranking should be board examinations. Mindanao State University should be higher than Adamson! Mapua should not be included because it only offers engineering programs! Ateneo is higher than UP!

    ReplyDelete
  49. BASTA! wala lahat ang mga yan sa top 200 worldwide tapos may gana pa kayong magsabi na "number 1 ang pinoy" or "globally competitive and pinoy". Nasaan ang basehan ng yabang niyong lahat?

    ReplyDelete

  62. Kung ilista pa ang Top 300 Asian Universities, pasok na d'yan 'yung TOP 5. 68th ang UP, 86th ang ADMU, 142nd ang DLSU, 148th ang UST, at somewhere sa 251-300th place ang USEP. Tapos.

Hay naku, crab mentality. Tsk.Tsk.Tsk. -__-

  63. Those who doubted USeP's inclusion to the survey last year, well now here is the latest and guess what USeP's officially one of the 300 BEST Universities in ASIA. Twice in a row nato Friends so wag maging bitter para pagpalain tayo lahat. Youngest compared to the Big four and the only one from Vis-MIn. ^___^

Request ko lang that we don't pull this school for it already has proven its worth. What we should all be busy about is continue supporting the rest of the PH schools para more PH schools the better for us all.

Go IIT Lions! MSU-IIT will participate soon! ^__^
